Fenbendazole 500.0 mg

For the treatment of mixed infections with roundworms and bandworms in

dogs and cats, caused by:

Worms: - Toxocara canis

- Toxascaris leonina

Hookworms: - Uncinaria stenocephala

- Ancylostoma caninum

Whipworm: - Trichuris vulpis

Bandworms: - Echinococcus granulosus

- Echinococcus multilocularis

- Dipylidium caninum

- Taenia spp.

- Multiceps multiceps

- Mesocestoides spp.

Due to the earliest possible occurrence of a bandworm infection in the

newborn dog after the third week of life, the treatment with Vermis -Ex

after diagnosis of a mixed infection is only indicated after the third

week of life.

DOSE :

5 mg of praziquantel and 50 mg of fenbendazole per kg of body weight. One tablet contains the dose for 10 kg of body weight. This results in the following dosage scheme:

1 tablet Vermis-Ex 2.5 kg to 10 kg body weight,

2 tablets Vermis -Ex of 10 to 20 kg body weight,

3 tablets Vermis -Ex of 20 to 30 kg body weight.

Cats generally get ½ tablet Vermis -Ex per cat according to their body weight
